Client information
Client information under FinSA.
Bernese Consulting Services GmbH provides insurance intermediation and financial services to private clients in Switzerland. BCS acts as a tied local intermediary to Generali Switzerland and Zurich Insurance Ltd, and is remunerated by way of commission from the product providers with whom business is placed. Where an advisory fee applies instead, it is agreed with you in writing in advance.

If you are not satisfied with the service you have received, please contact us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to initiate mediation proceedings before the ombudsman office to which BCS is affiliated: FINSOM — Financial Services Ombudsman, membership ID A21-000462, address / website as registered.
Anti-money-laundering audits are carried out by Mazars SA. ARIF membership number 3388 covers the Financial Services Act (FinSA) and the Financial Institutions Act (FinIA).
Privacy
How we handle your data.
What we collect. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, telephone number, topic and message you enter. The website itself does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Why we hold it. Solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to carry out the advisory and intermediation work you ask us to do — including the client identification and record-keeping that Swiss financial and anti-money-laundering legislation requires of us.
Who sees it. Enquiries are delivered by email to oloff@bcs-swiss.ch and are read by Oloff van Vuuren. Form submissions are transmitted through our email delivery provider; the website is hosted on Vercel. Where a recommendation is placed with an insurer or financial institution, only the data necessary for that application is shared, and only with your instruction.
How long. Enquiries that do not lead to a client relationship are deleted once they are no longer needed. Client records are retained for the periods Swiss law prescribes.
Your rights. Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection you may ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where no legal retention obligation applies. Write to oloff@bcs-swiss.ch.
